One other area of this bike that needed attention was the electronics. As this bike had been incorrectly stored, a multitude of critters had eaten away at various parts. Including these were some parts of the harness. Although I could probably repair the harness, I would still need to find a really good user manual to make sure all the connections were where they were supposed to go. An easier solution was just buy a new Honda harness. I was however expecting this to be a pretty expensive part. To my astonishment, the entire harness was super great value. I did have a lot bigger budget for this but now, I can use the extra funds for other parts of the bike. With other parts for this rebuild already in my cart, I had them all shipped using EMS. The order arrived in perfect condition and no damage during transit. This took just 5 days from being shipped which you cannot argue about, that is super speedy delivery. The harness was expertly packaged and inside a nicely made extra padded box. All the connectors are superb quality and not one loose wire or connector was found. There were no splits or flaws within the harness. A quick multimeter check showed everything was as it should be. The old harness had already been removed due to the bike needing to be professionally cleaned prior to fitting the new parts. This is really not a big harness and it pretty straight forward to fit. I did order the genuine Honda clips to mount the harness where needed so it fitted well. After a short test, all was as it should be. Now onto the next area of the rebuild. Great work. View Detail

I had an issue with the ignition barrel and snapped the key in the process. After a lot of pushing and pulling the key decided to snap, my bad. So I did not have to go and buy a totally new set of locks, I had an old set hanging around and decided I would get the lock set cut with a new key, this is where the new blank key comes in.I could have just got some random generic key but as this is an essential part that needs to work every time,I went for the genuine Honda one. The part number was not particualrly hard to find and Webike had these available. Win, win. The price was very reasonable and better than could have sourced locally. There were a few other parts in my order and all were shipped with EMS and arrived in 5 days. All my parts were received in perfect condition. The key even came in a small Honda bag which was a nice touch. The key has a really good and solid feel to it. Although it is a blank, the edges are smoooth as you would expect. I got the key cut and installed my new/old lock set. All works perfectly and now I can get my seat off. Thank you Webike, great job. View Detail
