The port and fin shape has been improved from the previous R-stage +D, and a new profile camshaft has been adopted to further increase power output at higher RPM!
■17R stage + D cylinder head Based on the stock head shape, large-diameter valve intake: 26mm / exhaust: 22.5mm. (12V Monkey stock valve diameter: Intake: 19mm / Exhaust: 16mm) SP Takegawa's original cylinder head with optimum valve pinching angle, combustion chamber shape, and port shape, along with large-diameter valves. While the port diameter of the stock head is 14mm for both intake and exhaust, the 17R stage has larger port diameters of 24.5mm for intake and 19mm for exhaust. In addition, the 3-dimensional port shape, coupled with the larger diameter of the valve ports, allows more intake and exhaust gases to flow smoothly. Valve: (intake 26mm / exhaust 22.5mm, valve stem shaft diameter 4.5mm) The increased weight due to the larger valve diameter is kept to a minimum by the slimmer stem shaft and waist processing. Valve Springs: Unequal pitch (2-step pitch) single valve springs with optimum spring rates are used to reduce surging at high RPM.
■Auto decompression camshafts Auto decompression function: Even on vehicles with high compression and higher displacement engines, the engine can be started with a light kick force. There are three types of camshafts, R-10E / R-15E / R-20E, which can be replaced according to usage and enjoy driving performance. 124cc kit included camshafts: R-15E
■Φ54HA cylinder (all aluminum ceramic plated cylinder) and piston It is externally the same design as the stock cylinder of the Cub series engine (cylinder height is different). The HA cylinder is ceramic plated for durability, airtightness, and heat dissipation. The M5 temperature sensor can be connected to the side of the cylinder, and cylinder temperature can be measured by using a compact LCD meter (with M5 temperature sensor) manufactured separately by SP Takegawa or by changing the sensor part of the thermometer to the M5 temperature sensor. Forged aluminum pistons are used for strength and durability.
■X-section connecting rods, 54mm longer stroke crankshaft (R-Type) X-section connecting rods are used. Forged material is machined and an X-section shape is adopted. Along with weight reduction, sufficient strength is ensured, and buckling stress diffusion and torsional rigidity are greatly improved. A special bearing with a larger bore diameter of the crankshaft journal bearing is used. This allows the shaft diameter at the journal, where stresses on the crankshaft are concentrated, to be increased in size from 20mm to 22mm, thereby increasing shaft strength.
